Six years of rescue work, and Geetanjali's biggest lesson is this: saving an animal is far easier than changing the mindset of the people around it. What started as a small effort to help a few has grown into a movement that touches hundreds of lives across Pune. Since 2019, Saahas has been present â on the streets, in surgeries, at adoption drives, and in the hearts of those who care.
Our Full Story â
A New Chapter at the Shelter â Saahas Gaushala
Until 2025, we rescued only dogs and cats â but at the beginning of the year, we realised we are ready to open our doors to more species. Our Gaushala now provides a safe haven for domestic animals including cows, with plans for a dedicated OPD.
Every single day, close to 100 rescued animals call our shelter their home. Twice a day their bowls are filled with warm, nourishing meals.
